New Single “I’m Leaving” Out Now

This song is about our feelings of leaving our home in California. It’s a little happy, a little sad. Kind of like breaking up a long term relationship. You don’t know for sure there’s something better out there for you, but you know this relationship just isn’t working out anymore.

Single “Bottled Up” Out Now

We wrote this song for anyone who feels like they’re trapped in the situation they’re in and can’t get out. It was recorded independently in our bedroom in Prescott, Arizona. Written during the 2020 pandemic, we wanted to share what we felt in hopes that other people can relate.

“Cadmium Yellow” Instrumentals and Demos

To keep sane during the 2020 pandemic, we took up music as a new way to express ourselves outside of art and filmmaking. This album is a collection of the first tunes we wrote together as a duo. We did our best to record everything live, overdubbing two instruments at a time, mostly on tape in the bedroom of our former home in Glendale, CA. What you hear are our raw first attempts at making music.

About Honey and Absinthe

After quitting her job at Disney and fleeing Los Angeles, Janet Chan and Vincent Ramos came together to form Honey & Absinthe. Documenting and sharing their journey to become filmmakers and musicians, they independently produce music and films from their home in Prescott, Arizona. Initially starting their music career off with a comedy rap song, they started to explore more familiar genres in the indie music space. From lofi beats to indie pop rock, they are inspired by a mix between pop, rock, blues and anime with themes of nostalgia, loneliness, and melancholy directed towards anyone who feels lost wherever they’re at in life.
